Thanks for the question, My velocity calculations are based on the following formula:

(Story points per day x Number of Development Days in a sprint x Learning curve)

Story points per day = Number of Dev hours a day x Dev Focus factor x Story points per hour x Number of developers

I would add a learning curve if you are building something new. Otherwise, you can remove the learning curve from the equation.
